Mount Lycabettus

Mount Lycabettus is the highest mountain in downtown Athens. It offers an impressive view over the capital of Greece. Especially in the evening hours it is a popular destination for visitors of the city.

The 277 meters can be climbed either on foot or with a funicular. On the top there is a viewing platform with a small chapel. There is also a restaurant and an open-air theater with almost 4000 seats on the mountain.
