Petronas Twin Towers

One of the most iconic landmarks of Kuala Lumpur are surely the Petronas Twin Towers. The twin buildings were built in the 1990s and are 451.9 metres high.

With this number, the building designed by Argentine architect César Pelli replaced the Willis Tower in Chicago as the tallest building in the world in 1998. Six years later, in 2004, the Petronas Towers had to cede the title to Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
However, the skyscrapers are still the tallest building in Malaysia.

At a height of 172 metres, the two towers are connected by a 60-metre long steel bridge.
