Lindau (officially: Lindau (Bodensee)) is a town on the eastern shore of Lake Constance in Bavaria.
The heart of the old town of the German city lies on an island, where the harbor of the city is also located. There you will find a statue of the Bavarian Lion and the stone Lindau Lighthouse.
The Lindau Lighthouse is the southernmost lighthouse in Germany and the only one in the federal state of Bavaria. It has a height of 33 metres and, which is unusual for lighthouses, has a clock on the facade.
From the port of Lindau, ships depart every day for Konstanz in Germany, Bregenz in Austria and Rorschach in Switzerland. All three countries have shares in Lake Constance.
