Boulogne-sur-Mer is a city in the north of France. It is located at the Côte d’Opale in the region of Hauts-de-France and very popular with tourists.

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Boulogne, 101 metres high, is one of the city’s landmarks. The Roman Catholic Church was built between 1827 and 1875, has Roman, Romanesque and Gothic elements and is partly called “cathedral”, but never recognized as such.
The Belfry of Boulogne-sur-Mer is a World Heritage Site.
